Each housewife will be able to cook this simple and extremely tasty homemade yoghurt cheese. Ingredients will need quite a bit of time spent on cooking the cheese itself to a minimum. The taste of this cheese resembles a cross between soft philadelphia and the freshest mozzarella, but with a light, pleasant yogurt note. Rather try this simplest recipe!

Ingredients for homemade cheese:

  • fat yogurt (from 10%) - 500 gr;
  • 1 tsp salt.

Start cooking:

  1. Fold the gauze 4 times.
  2. In a container, mix 500 grams of fatty yogurt (Greek, Turkish, etc., without fillers) with salt.
  3. Put yogurt in cheesecloth.
  4. Tie gauze so that excess liquid drains. Place the container with gauze in the refrigerator for a period of 12 hours to 5 days.

Already on the 3rd day the cheese becomes strong, dense and tasty, as in the photo. You can pinch off the pieces, roll them into balls, put in a jar with vegetable oil and your favorite spices. A ball of homemade fresh cheese on crisp bread in the morning - the best breakfast! Such cheese is stored for 5 days, according to the term of the yogurt itself.
